Information - Climate in Uzbekistan


The climate in Uzbekistan is sharply continental with hot, dry, long summer and soft winter. It is temperate climate in the north and subtropical in the south. The length of the day in summer is about 15 hours and winter – not less than 9 hours.

January is the coldest month. The average temperature in December in the north is -80 C (180F) and 00 C (320F) in the south, though sometimes the temperature can go down to - 25-300C (-13-220F) in the north of the country.

The hottest months are July and August. The average temperature in summer exceeds +35 0 C (950F), sometimes it can reach up to + 450C (1130F) and even higher.

The best time to travel in Uzbekistan is in spring (late March till early June), and in autumn (September to November).
